   Bonfire Warmer

A classic warming soup for Bonfire Night - just the thing for after the fireworks display.
Ingredients
Serves: 4

1 Carrot, sliced
1 Onion, chopped
4 Rashers Bacon, chopped
15 Gram Butter (1/2 oz)
1 Teaspoon Curry powder
25 Gram Plain flour (1 oz)
450 ml Milk (3/4 pint)
150 ml Chicken stock, or vegetable stock (1/4 pint)
Method
Gently saut� the carrot, onion and bacon in the butter for 10 minutes until softened.
Stir in the curry powder and flour, cook for 2 minutes.
Gradually add the milk and stock stirring continuously until the soup thickens, boils and is smooth.
Serve with crusty rolls.
