Spiced Wine Punch
This punch is best made at least one hour before drinking, and should be served hot.
Ingredients
Serves: 12
2 Bottles Red wine
1 Bottle White wine
2 Oranges, thinly sliced
2 Lemons, thinly sliced
16 Cloves
1 Teaspoon Grayed nutmeg
2 Teaspoon Ground cinnamon
225 Gram Demerara sugar (8 oz)
Fresh orange and lemon slices, to garnish
Method
Pour the wines into a large pan, and place over a gentle heat.
Cut each orange and lemon slice into quarters and add to the pan. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Warm the punch very gently, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.
Ladle the punch into individual glasses and garnish each one with a fresh orange or lemon slice.
